Two Bridges, One Discipline
I have spent most of my career on the bridge of a Hellenic Navy ship, where the cost of unclear communication is measured in something more serious than an awkward pause. Orders have to be precise. Time is short. There is no room for a rambling sentence when the situation will not wait for you to find your point.
I bring that exact discipline to a different kind of room now: conference stages, corporate training rooms, and Toastmasters podiums across Greece and beyond.

I hold the rank of Commander and serve as a senior finance officer in the Hellenic Navy, alongside an MBA and an MSc in Economics, Defense and Security. None of that makes me a good speaker on its own. What it gives me is a habit: say what matters, in the time you are given, in a way the room can act on.
I built the second half of that skill the hard way, through years of Toastmasters competition, club leadership, and District 109 service. I have written and coached speeches, run meetings, evaluated hundreds of speakers, and competed for awards judged by people with no reason to be kind to me. That is the credential that matters most to me, because nobody handed it to me. I earned it on a stage, in front of an audience, against a clock.
Today I split my work three ways. I deliver keynotes on communication, leadership, and AI fluency. I train teams and individuals in the full craft of public speaking. And I moderate conferences and panels in Greek, English, and German, because someone has to keep the room on schedule and the energy alive while making everyone else look good.
I do not believe AI replaces a communicator. I believe it removes the parts of preparation that were never the actual skill: the formatting, the first draft, the blank page, so you have more time for the part that was always yours, judgment, story, and delivery. That is the idea behind my workshop, "AI Is Not Your Ghostwriter."
Speak. Lead. Succeed.
It sounds simple because it is. The hard part is doing all three under pressure, in front of people who are deciding, in real time, whether to trust you.
